Are lessons so basic that my teenage/adult student will refuse to use the software?
Lessons are age appropriate for teenagers and adults. Our experiences have been that older students enjoy the lessons because they are learning to read and understand the system which is motivating. All reading basics are included and do not demean any user, young or old.

Should students master one step before moving to next step?
Read Quick teaches the entire range of decoding skills by teaching the Gestalt method. Individual skills are developed while reading more challenging words, the reader fills in the individual blank information for correctly saying words, much like filling in the spokes on a wheel.

Is Read Quick a complete reading program?
Read Quick is a very reliable decoding system for the reader to use to correctly say a word while reading. The system allows the reader to read harder and more advanced written text than is normal for their age/grade level. The reader is able to read any type of printed documents, allowing for full use of the library for knowledge.

Do students need a different program for spelling?
No. The same rules in the Read Quick decoding system are the same rules needed for spelling memory. Use the 3 steps on each spelling word.

Will Read Quick interfere with any other program for reading?
No. Regardless of the other reading program methods or lessons, Read Quick will enhance any other program taught. Read Quick uses natural speech with letter clusters.

Are there different levels of learning in the Read Quick system?
No. The Read Quick system is the same process for any age and any ability level. There are no other decoding materials or levels needed. Students age 4-adult use the same system. The only level difference is the difficulty of the reading material being used by the student. Read Quick lessons are age appropriate.

At what age can my child start the Read Quick program?

The criteria for beginning a student is age, visual development, attention level and knowledge of the alphabet. These criteria must be applied by the adult. We have successfully started 4 year olds in group instruction and the class averaged 1-3 years in reading growth in 6 months. Time involvement for parent monitoring will depend on student's ability to use the computer's mouse.
Do I need special training to work as an instructor/parent with Read Quick?
No. By becoming familiar with the 3-Step system and the software, no additional training is needed to help students. Read Quick is so easily learned that we have had younger students teach the system to their siblings and parents.

By eliminating syllables, will students have problems in other language?
No. Read Quick is a decoding system that applies to reading and spelling by replacing syllables with accurate Combinations & Borrowers. All other language skills are taught in the normal way and are not affected by not having syllable experience.
