An Educational Provider

Read Kwik  is a product of Certified Learning Systems. Current and previous educational materials were developed by Jerry Coker and his wife Patti. The current software evolved from teaching every type of learner from age 4 to adult. They both taught reading groups, small specialized groups and many individual learners.

Many successes occurred in the 25+ years working in their private school and public schools before and after their private school adventure.

Jerry re-entered public education. His success with educating students to read and compute math resulted in numerous inquiries regarding his methods. A company was formed, Certified Learning Systems, to implement reading materials developed for educators and parents.

The first materials developed were workbooks containing every type of pencil & paper lesson for teaching the system. Six cassette tapes were part of this program. There was no concerted effort to market the products. Sales to local schools for special education, bilingual learners, remedial readers, beginning readers of all ages in elementary, middle school and high school were conducted. Regardless of the student and educational environment, reading gains were significant and dramatic.

After retiring, Read Kwik was programmed on a single disk CD. Complimenting the software are learning center masters, flashcards, bookmarkers with the entire system on the front, wall charts and a teacher's guide.

Recently developed transition readers are now available for all grade levels. The Read Kwik marking system is used to 'pre-mark' paragraphs and short stories. This allows student to make a direct transition from software to print. More importantly, this design will rapidly develop accurate word attack skills.

We believe this system is the most advanced approach to teaching anyone to read in a short time, regardless of their abilities.

Plans for future product development include spelling taught the way students learn using the system for grades 1-8. A monitoring test for the system is already outlined and ready for editing.
